Hey, not a bad morning: 6*C at 5:30a.m. Lots of stars. Did the Town streets this morning. Back at the Arena at 6:30ish - met Lance. Lance had a good run; did Poplar Avenue backwards and then into the Legion Park for the final loop before coming back into the Arena Parking Lot. This morning there was a van parked on the Pathway just below 9th Ave.?????????? Kind of surprising, in the darkest section of the path and right on the path.

Talked to Keith Immerkar this morning and he did the 5 mile run last Saturday. A small group of 7 runners but a great route and a beautiful day for running. Thanks to Deanna Andres and her mom for setting up the run. If anybody has a photo or two, please e-mail me a couple for the record book. thanks.
My run this morning didn't feel that good. I struggled with it. Pounding away, every step felt sluggish. It felt like my feet weighed far too much. Like I had a bunch of "Winnipeg gumbo" clay stuck to them. They felt heavy. I ran slow. Too bad, as the weather was just great and the footing excellent. I'll have to focus on tomorrow now and aim for a better run. I find that I need to get into my pace as soon as possible. Sometimes, I'll start out slow and think that after 10 minutes, I'll ramp up to speed. But that dosen't always work that way; like this morning; I just stayed down there at a "warm-up pace" all the way thru my run. I don't like that feeling. And, I was hoping that I wouldn't meet Barnes and Vegas coming over the bridge because I'd have to run much faster. That's the mind games that goes on in my head sometimes.
Sometimes, its tough but..........
Keep give'nér,
gk
Next run: Thursday the 9th of October, come on out and get a run in before Thanksgiving turkey.

I was slightly late this morning, about 10 minutes......Slept in and I almost talked myself out of going because it threw me off a little. Glad I made it though, the stars were sure bright this morning and the temp was perfect.
Weights today at the gym. Last day for that here as I am leaving Manitoba Blue Cross for a job in Portage. No more commute in the winter!
