Did a short version run this morning, thursday the 28th of January. Out for 25 minutes only. -23*C and a bit of a breeze going. 9th ave. s. 4th street s., valley road, 1st street n., curling rink, arena and back home via ag pathway. I had all my layers on and was comfortable - even facing the wind.
Next week will be February. February - sounds good eh! How many runs will we do in February? We will only do 8 runs (two per week). That is all; very simple, very easy to do, only 8. February is a good month to run.
When you get the right clothes on, you can run in any weather.
Lance did a solo run last Tuesday and he forgot his mitts at home. He was up and about, let the dog out, etce. and fogot his mitts at the back door. When he got to the rink he realized he forgot his mitts but he started out on his run anyway. He tried to tuck his fingers up into his sleeves. It didn't work and he had to abort. Good thing you quit Lance.
With the right clothes, it's easily doable and you can comfortably jogg along. As always, the toughtest thing is getting out of bed. And then the next toughest thing is the first 10 minutes of the run. But after you get over those two little hurdles........... nothing but good things.
Next run: Tuesday - Groundhogs day.
See you out there,
keep give'n'er,
gk
