Hey
Been away for a bit over the long week-end. Did a couple runs. One in Minot and one in PlaP. Weather is hanging in there.
Went out this morning at 1/4 to 6a.m. Met up with Barnes and Vegas. Also seen Tracy. About 10*C this morning, so not so bad. Good thing is that we slowly go down and get climatized. Little by little.
When I was in Minot, I seen this runner moving at a pretty good clip. I happened to be on my bike at that time. He was young and moving fast. Just about as fast as I was going on my bike. I noticed that he was wearing long socks that went right up over his calves. Later, I looked them up at Scheels, a big sporting store down there. They were football socks by Nike. They are a compression fit of nylon and spandex. They are for impact sports. I guess this runner figured that running is an impact sport and I guess it is. Anyway, he was using them and he was running fast.
Funny, when I see other runners on the go and I'm not running at the time, I get very jellous of them. I don't know if that's quite the right word, but you know what I mean. I wish I were out there running too. I'm like "Murph", a little Begeonfriese dog we used to have. When Murph seen another dog, he'd get all excited and claw away at the car window. That's the closest thing I can describe my feeling when I see another runner go by. I'm just like Murph was.
keep give'nér,
gk

Slept in this morning, so I missed out. I headed out Tuesday morning and I'll make up for today tomorrow morning. On the way home after running tuesday I noticed some frost on a few rooftops, it was +3 on the ground. Fall is here!

it's been nice running this week. i do not mind when it's cooler, and no toque required. i still tend to overdress a bit - when it's dark i always think "i'm going to be cold" but after 5 minutes i never am. i know exactly what you mean Garry when you see another runner. it's a funny feeling - kind of like jealousy, but more of "i wish i was running right now". have a good day.
