September 28th, 2010

Foggy this morning. Clear sky but fog all around the street lights. Out a little earlier. At the Arena a 5:30a.m. Lance's vehicle was there but he was out running already. I went out on the Poplar route and cut it short to get back over the bridge to meet Barnes and Vegas. The pace picked up after I met up with Barnes. I had a tough time this morning to keep pace. Barnes had his watch working again and keeps track of his time. His goal is to break 1:40 in the Mb. Marathon (1/2) in June 2011.

Keith Immerkar had a good run at Bamff. A 10k course that started on the edge of Town and run up into the mnts. Lots of grade and lots of runners. There were over 3000 contestants in the 10k run alone. Keith had a tough time at the start as he was too far back in the line up. Consequently, he had to pass a lot of people before he could get into his pace. He said it was a good run and that he would do it again. Lots of great runners in good shape. He said a 17 year old one the half; came in at 38 minutes (something like that). That's pretty fast.

Next regular run is this Thursday from the Arena at 1/4 to 6a.m. Twice a week now and regular as clock work every tuesday and thursday - right thru winter.

Fall - what a great time to run. Long runs, short runs, week-end runs, fast runs, slow runs - it dosen't matter, it's just nice to get out there.

Keep give'nér,
GK.
