The last of Novemer 2010 .
Got a run in this morning, 45 minutes = 9th Ave.S., Valley Rd, Minish's, Ross, 9th N., arena, Ag. pathway. I got out at 6:30am. this morning, about -14*C and calm. Stars and a 1/2 moon out.
Remember, that the Jack Brown Lights will be turned on, Thursday, December 2nd at 7:30p.m. and will be turned off at 8:00p.m. So we'll be light up for a 1/2 hour. The track is big and cicular (not oval); it is very freindly to run. Oval tracks are tougher especially if they are not super-elevated on the curves. The body has to deal with inertia and that adds unwanted stress to the system. Ya, so every Tuesday and Thursday evening for the months of December and January 2011, we'll have the lights on at the JB. The Town does an excellent job keeping the walkways open.
I asked John Rooks if he thought the lights would light up the walking path around the JB as they are positioned to light up the diamond.
He said: "Oh it will light the path alright; it will be bright. There are 43 lights, as many as there are in the Arena. They are the same as the Arena's. You won't have any trouble seeing."
So come on out, bring a freind, walk or run, it dosen't matter. It will get us off the couch for a couple evenings. Clockwise on Tuesdays and Counterclockwise on Thursdays. Remember as well to keep to the outside of the track, leave the insdie lane be for passing.
The other reminder is the 5k Run from the WWInn on Saturday morning, December 4th, 2010, starting at 9a.m. And then back in after for breakfast. Bring some cash to pay for your breakfast.
