January 13th, 2011 Thursday

About 2" of snow last night. Went for a few loops today at 2p.m. in the Legion Park. The pathways are all cleared off and the footing is good. About -10*C, very comfortable. Did about 45 minutes. Finished up at home via Tim Hortons and Ross Street.

No more Jack Brown lights. They've somewhat faded off into the distance. We ran them for 6 times in December 2010 and twice in January 2011. But........... there wasn't enough runners to make it worthwhile. So, we are done with that. The ball lights offered excellent lighting tho that's for sure. Maybe some other time. A big thank you to the Town for allowing the trial run.

With all the fresh snow we've been getting, there is pretty good light reflection from street lights and the moon. The snow really brighten's up a run. The snow is also good for snowshoeing and x-country skiing. As well as snowboarding and alpine skiing. Thunderhill is in excellent shape.

It's winter time, we're right in the middle of it. Lots to do out there. Skating and Hockey are good ones too.

But don't forget the running. That can be done in the wintertime.

Keep give'n'er,
gk
