January 4th, 2011 TUESDAY

Remember last summer. The end of it actually. We ran a 10k cross country from Immerkar's to Hart's. It was full moon. I took the moon picture from the car after our run as we were leaving Hart's. The Fall Equinox was two weeks later (September 22nd, 2010). And now, January 4th, we have passed the winter solstice, which happened on Dec. 21st, 2010 and our days are getting longer. Soon it will be spiring and we will be running with much more daylight.

But in the mean time................. we have to run with mostly dark. It's not that bad really. I ran today and it was a balmy -10*C. I did a couple loops in the Legion Park and then out on the Highway by Tim Hortons and back in on Ross. Not a big run but the first one for me in 2011. How about you? When was your first run of the New Year?

Keep give 'en 'er,
gk

My first run of the new year was on Monday - on the dreadmill - oh i mean treadmill. then on wednesday i ran outside early morning. this morning i saw Lance's vehicle at the arena, so he is still keeping it up. so way to go all you runners! if you can run in the winter cold, you can do a lot of other things! have a great day.
