0*C this morning with a slight breeze out of the South West. Lance ran with barehands this morning. I had two pair of knitted mitts on and my hands were steaming hot and wet. Sometimes, it's hard to get the right clothes to match the weather. It's tough to run when you have too much on and it's very uncomfortable if you don't hav a enogh on. Yesterday afternoon I ran the by-pass and I was down to one layer under my shell. And only one pair of knitted mitts. I wasn't cold. It was 2p.m., calm and sunny. The sun was warm and the air felt like spring on the face.
You know, if you could swing it and take advantage of the warm weather this week and go for a run at 2p.m. - it would really be worth it. Just once, this week, this winter. It would be like being on vacation somewhere warm, only you just avoided a days travel and all the jet/airport hassel. Take your dinner hour late, work later, or something but it would be very nice to run in the warmest, brigthest part of the day especially this week as it's so mild. Try it: "you can do it!" But remember..... don't let your guard down too far; it's January. This week is an oportunity to take advantage of. You will feel so good after the run that your work will flow thru your desk like a piece of cake. If you are an employer - no problemo, you're the boss! If you are an employee, check it out with the boss. He should realize how good it is for you and appreciate how well you will preform when you get back in. It's good therapy, good for the soul to feel the warm sun and spring like breezes on your face. Especially at this time of year in the very middle of Canada.
Have a good one,
Keep give'n'er,
gk

Very nice today, but I still had too much on. Its a fine line, it takes a bit to get warmed up but once your there its ok. Its just starting out when you are a little on the cold side that is tough. I'm going to start pushing it a little I think, maybe wear less than I usually would - as long as the wind is not there. It was great today but I was telling Garry that the loose snow is hard to run in, it was kinda like running in the sand on the beach - it takes alot more energy out of you. I was quite tired today but thats good.
See you Thurday,
Lance
