I did a 12.769 mile run and my time was 2hrs and 12 minutes. That's a 9.67 minute mile. My target is (or was) 1hr and 45 minutes which is an 8 minute mile. I'm never going to make it. But I'm going to do the best I can.
Speaking of "the best I can"........ Derek Holton ran a 1/2 in Saskatoon on this past Sunday, May 30th, 2010. His target was 2hrs and 5 minutes and he blew that out of the water. He came in at 1:57:30. That was 27 minutes better than his time last year. Way to go Derek!!!!! That is a fantastic run. You'll have to give us the blow by blow details Derek. We'd be interested. Wind? Rain? Heart rate? Pace Bunny? Uphill? Give it to us. I think it merits an entire colum in the Star & Times.
Next run for the allweather runners is tomorrow morning at 1/4 to 6a.m. Come on out and do a little blast. The weather is going to be nice. No more rain. It would be good to do a group run in the summer, in daylight. We have a new runner interested in running with us. Her name is Amada; come out and meet her.
Keep give'n'er,
gk
