Tracy, Lance, Angela, Garry at the Arena Parking Lot this morning. Who else was out this morning? Rob McDonal? Joli Verbo? I thought I met Joli and her partner (?) this morning on 2nd Street South at about 6:30a.m? Is that right Joli? Who was your partner?
The temperature is pretty nice for running. It's coolish and you don't have to worry about overheating the thermostat or blowing the rad.
Tracy was saying this morning that she runs for the fun of it. She gets her enjoyment running differnt loops, different paces, etc. She is not wrapped up in "running faster" and competing against herself or others. It dosen't matter if she runs a 9 minute mile or a 9.24 minute mile. That's a good point. I tend to get wrapped up in the timing. That's just the way it is with me. I need a goal or something to motivate me. I like that. It's like booking a holiday two or three months down the road and then anticipating it. It's enjoyable to anticiapte. When at times, the daily job of living gets your guard down a bit, you can switch to anticipating your holiday or goal. That works; it boosts you up to par again.
Different stokes for different folks. People run for various reasons. It's all good.
