tuesday may 25th 6a.m.

Wind and Rain. That's what it was like this morning.

A strong wind out to the North-East. I went around the old By-Pass from the rink to Morley's and around that way. The wind caught me full bore when I headed straight East to the Stop sign at Harvey Sedor's. And then some rain . There was a car at the rink this morning at 10 to six when I started out but it was gone by the time I got back there. I had a message on my voice mail this week-end from a person that was interested in running and joining the allweather running club. I've tried the phone number that was left but haven't made contact yet. We don't have a group run at present but will keep in touch, keep the blog going. I think everybody, right now, has taken to running their own schedule and maybe after we've enjoyed our summer we can reconvene in the fall. We will be all be running in the 10k rodeo run this July 30th and perhaps we can talk a bit about that at that time.

Keep give'n'er - rain or shine,
gk

I did 16 kms on Friday in 1:33, so I figure if I can keep that pace, I'll finish in just more than two hours and five minutes on Sunday for the Saskatchewan Marathon. Got to be careful to start slower this year and avoid cramping up.

Forecast calls for cold rainy day in Saskatoon, so I think a short run this week in the rain is what's needed to prepare me for the weekend.

good luck to all those training for the MB Marathon - I think I'll do that one next year...

Hey Derek:

Good luck in Saskatoon this Sunday. Way to go. The training is worse than the war. Now the training is all done. You’re all in. That in itself is a great feeling.

The run will be fun. Lots of other runners. Lots of hype.
Give're Derek. Give'r.
