Around zero, I don't think it froze last nite. It was pretty nice out this morning: when you think it's November. Did a 40 minute run down 4th to Reich's Road, Valley Road then up to Reid Minish's, Swan River Drive, 9th and back to the arena. Lance and I arrived at the arena at the same time; about 5:30a.m.
Seen Pat Morden as we were standing in the Arena Parking Lot after our run doing some stetching when Pat ran by. He was dressed very visible with reflective strips. Excellent vision wear!
Also Kevin Warkenine went by on his run and he was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. His words as he went by were, "It's beautiful out". And he's right. I think it might be hard to believe this weather existed in a month's time. Maybe all of November will be open and nice like this. The grass is still very green, in fact you can hear lawn mowers still going in the neighbourhood. Leaves are all gone but the grass is like summer.
We're getting some response back from runners on our Breakfast Run from the WWInn on December 4th at 9a.m. We've got about 12 runners right now so that's good - it's going to happen. If you can make it just let me know and we can give Frank a number. It would be good to see you on the 4th.
Anyway, it makes it a bit easier to "keep give'nér" in this nice weather. Hope to see you out there. I'm sure there other runners that our paths just didn't cross this morning. Let us know if you were out. The stars were out at 5:30a.m. and a sliver of moon.
Barnes suggested to try the Golf Course as a variety for a run and I did that on Saturday afternoon. It was good. The golf course is closed now for golfing and there is no snow. I run the course backwards on the golf cart paths from 9 to 4 and then vierd off into the back 9 holes and ended up back at the club house on 18. It was good. Had to dodge a bit of water in the back but it didn't stop the run. Took 28 minutes to get around. If you like to add some variety - that's a nice run.
Keep give'nér,
gk
