Hey!!! We had a great 5k run on Saturday morning. Just fantastic. It was good to have a group run. And Frankie did a great job with the breakfast. From Pancakes to bacon and eggs. All kinds of salt and pepper and ketchup and toast with butter. Jam and peanut butter, boiling hot coffee and juice, lots of glasses of water. We burned all those calories off before we even got them. Ha!

And, we lucked out on the weather. It was about -7*C and calm.

So who was there? 14 of us: Reid, Val, Brittney, Dan, Terry, Leslie, Barnes, Peter, Medhat, Treavor, Tracy, Jolie, Tara and Garry.

We seem to be a club that runs idividually. We work in a run schedule that fits for each one of us. And that's good. It's very hard to "work in a run" into our busy lives. But with good organization skills, we can do it. Once in a while, it's good to come together and keep ourselves in check and have a chat with other runners.

Tracy said Donna mentionted we should have a New Years run. Start the new year off with a resolution run. What do you think? I think it's a great idea. I'm thinking Sunday (the 2nd of January). We can do the same thing from the WWInn (they'll be open). Run the same route and then breakfast.

What do you think? Give us your thoughts. Should we have a New Years Resolution Run on Sunday morning, January 2nd, 2011?????????

Trish LaCart, The Star and Times Reporter, was there Saturday morning: with her camera. She is very good. She took some action shots of the 5k run. We'll share them with you on the blog a bit later. A big thanks for coming out Trish.

Keep give'n 'er,
gk

Hey and what about the blog? Do you want something different? What would you like to see ? I got an e-mail back from Guadalajara, Mexico from one of our group, John Reimer. He lives down there. Ran with us at the Rodeo Run. Did some cross country biking. It's very nice to get some feedback.

Good turn out for a winter run! They have a run in Winnipeg called the hypothermia run. I've never ran in it but apparently a popular event. Minus 17 here today and I plan to run to the bridge. Path is clear, walked it last night while Erin had piano. Good footing.
